PERSONAL COUNSELING

During the year the social worker handled 59 cases of domestic violence. A large number of cases were related to marital disputes, alcoholism, dowry, 18 cases of housing related issues etc. Our intervention involves dealing with the families, neighbors, police etc which is done efficiently by our social workers. Very often, the cases are settled at the Centre itself. Referral service is used when necessary. Marriage breakups come for counseling approximately 70 in number .
